Wednesday, Apr 15: Romeward Bound

Part #3 of Wednesday: We needed to get near Rome to drop the rental car off Thursday morning at 9. I had found a hotel outside of the city center. Easy to drive to, right? Wrong. It was rush hour and my simple website directions didn't take into account one way streets. "She" tried her best to get us there, but after circling and recalculating and "Arriving at destination" on a vacant street, Todd was the one to say, "Hey, isn't that the hotel?"

It was a fabulous hotel, newly built and hi-tech. We eventually figured out you have to leave the keycard in the wall slot to make the lights turn on. It was so nice staying in a place that resembled an American hotel. With regular towels. And phones. And showers with plenty of hot water. And a 3 euro mini can of Pringles. And a parking stall. And Umberto, the desk clerk, who nicely ordered pizzas and printed out a map for us. Too bad it was so far from public transportation. Anyway, a toast to Hotel Domidea.
